Terms of engagement

1. Acceptance

By using https://dataset-index.digital or instructing Cedarside Tax Advisory (“we”, “us”) for UK financial advice and consulting, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or request an engagement.

2. Services

We provide tax consultations, filing support, company reviews, and related advisory work as described on this site. Website content is general information only and does not itself create an adviser–client relationship. A binding engagement begins only when we confirm scope and fees in writing.

3. Intellectual property

Text, branding, layout, and materials on this site belong to Cedarside Tax Advisory or our licensors. You may view and print pages for personal reference. You may not copy, republish, or commercially exploit site content without prior written consent. Written advice notes issued under an engagement remain our copyright; you may use them for your own tax affairs and to share with your professional advisers.

4. Client responsibilities

You must provide accurate, complete information and documents relevant to the engagement. Advice is based on the facts you supply and UK tax law as understood at the date of the advice note. We are not responsible for outcomes arising from omitted facts, later law changes, or actions taken contrary to our written recommendations.

5. Fees and payment

Fees are agreed before chargeable work. Invoices are payable by the date stated. We may pause work if invoices remain unpaid. Deposits, where requested, are applied as described in our fee confirmation and refund policy.

6. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Subject to that, our aggregate liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or missed commercial opportunities.

7. Third-party sites

Links to HMRC or other external resources are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or availability.

8. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from the site or our engagements are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply.
